After forgetting mom Sandy's birthday, the Lucas brothers come up with the idea to transfer all of their home movies onto DVD and give it to her as a gift. Good intentions turn to disaster when the original home movies are destroyed as the boys are baking a birthday cake. the Lucas brothers try acting at their school production of "The Three musketeers". when joe decides that acting isn't for him, his arch rival Van Dyke steps in. Macy believes that luck, rather than talent, is the reason for her success at sports.

Despite the fact that Joe set the fire alarm off and he claims it is his fault, the teacher does not discipline him because he is after all, a rock star. However, Abby gets detention. Feeling upset, Joe comes in and sits in detention with her. He vows to himself to make it up to Abby - with Stella�s help.
